How do I remove paint from rims?

-I was looking to buy a car, but the rims have been painted a nasty gold color. I want to change the gold to black. I was wondering if it would be better to remove the gold paint and start fresh or if I could just paint black over the gold. If need be I can go to shop to get it done, I just want to know if there is an easy way to do it on my own.



Thanks in advance.Take off the tires, use aircraft stripper (READ THE INSTRUCTIONS) and get them powdercoated black.



DO NOT just paint them, get them powdercoated properly.
