The pistons spark plug then starts to ignite over and over again, like an spark oven, while they get filled with gas. Then, when the spark finally gets caught in the gasoline-air combo, and it ignites, the car starts, and wala, ignition in a nutshell.

ignition is what is used in a car which fires the spark plugs in a petrol engine.

with a diesel engine it does not need an ignition as the power comes from compression of the diesel oil fuel.
