-Most likely cause would be warped rotors. They will need turned or replaced to stop the shaking.Your first answer to the question is dead incorrect! An alignment will not correct brake rotors which are warped! Your issue only happens when you use the brakes which indicates the rotors have lateral (in and out) run-out. They either must be re-machined flat again or better yet thrown in the trash and new ones installed if they're worn too thin.
When ever brake rotors are machined flat precious cast-iron stock is removed. When that happens they're getting thin and you will loose their *heat sink ability to carry excess temperature away from the brake pads. They will actually warp all over again very quickly.
Warped brake rotors. Read the post below to see how it happens and what to do about it

You need to replace your brake discs,as they must have warped. This could be the result of long usage,or overheating.I would also recommedn changing your brake pads if you brake hard often...if this is not the case, then check your wheel alignment,as well as your suspension for bents
Take your ride to have an alignment, the front end checked & the front wheels balanced. This should solve your problem .
just when you brake? the brake rotors are warped. you need a new set of rotors and pads.
warped brake rotors, they either need resurfaced or you need new ones.
rotors could be warped but it could also be brake chatter up front. id have them looked at.
