-if it is a straight switch with one that is the same spec's as your turbo you should be fine .if you are putting a larger cap. turbo to get more boost to get more power you have got to remember you will be messing with fuel and air ratio .you will have to get into your fuel management also . to much power could blow your tran. or engine . to much boost and not enough fuel it will not run as fast as it does nowThe extra acceleration can wear or overheat it, but seeing as its (probably) diesel ? its not going to be THAT much faster is it?
Unless your talking about ALOT more power than factory, the factory transmission should be up to the task, depending on how you treat it.
Too much torque or hp for it to handle. Where as in the past, transmissions were capible of handleing much more power. Most newer transmissions are desingned to handle not much more than what the factory horsepower is. This is what happens when you let accountants run the world.
