-I went out to my car to find that the key fob didn't work so I opened it up with the key and hit the unlock lever and got no response. Feeling maybe I killed the battery I went to start the vehicle, it fired right up and shut down right away. Some other things that I had noticed is, the trunk release inside the car did not work, the interior lights did not work...but then all the sudden came on and I had to pull the fuse to get them off, the radio worked until we shut it off and now it doesn't work. I also noticed it takes a few seconds for the dash to light up and not all the lights come on, the gas gauge don't move and the low fuel light stays on (there IS gas in the vehicle).
Another thing I noticed was a puddle of water on the floor on the passenger side. We had gotten some crazy rain that morning and I found the weather strip not sealed along the bottom of the windshield.
Also 2 days prior I had the Throttle position sensor replaced. The car ran better than I can remember it running after this replacement. I parked it, and the next morning it was in this current condition.
We thought it might be the battery having a dead cell, the battery is fine. I am guessing either it got some important parts wet inside the dash...or maybe the piece of crap theft system has failed and put me in complete lock down as the car starts and dies right away.
Does anybody have any thoughts on this and what I can do. If it is just wet will it dry out and go back to normal?
