What adapter do I need to run a 12v B&D auto vac inside the home?

-I have the Black & Decker PAV1200w Pivoting Nose Auto Vacuum and it comes with a 16 ft car cigarette lighter plug. I know there are adapters such as ones Amazon suggests to buy with it, but the reviews say it's only got enough power output to power say, a cellphone charger, not a 12v vacuum. I was looking on Amazon at a Wagan 5amp AC to 12v DC power adapter for about $18.00. I don't want to spend almost half the price I paid for the vac if it's not going to work though. A battery charger will do the trick.
