Is the car dealer responsible to make sure brake and signal lights work?

-I live in California, I bought a 1995 Chevy Suburban 1 week ago. I realized the next day that the driver side brake light and signal do not work, the reverse light and tail light works, just not the signal or brake. I need to know if the dealership is responsible for this repair. The vehicle unfortunately was purchased "As Is". I have replaced fuses and bulbs, still not workingno it's your job to check it...his job is to trick you into buying the car
You bought it as is. its now your problem.
