Any key can start my motorbike?!?

-ok i have a problem duno if i can fix it myself? but it seems like the little pins inside the key ignition are stuck in the unlock position because my key does not stay fixed in the ignition it just slips out and slot i can put ANY key in my motorbike now and start it, even a flat headed screwdriver!, how do i fix this? can i fix it by sticking something inside and nudging the pins or something? how much will it cost to fix?You could try squirting some dry graphite into the lock opening and raking the pins with a stiff wire.



This may be enough to free up your lock.



If that doesn't work you could either take your bike to a locksmith and see if he can either fix it or replace the ignition.
SOMONE PROBABLY AT SOME POINT SPRAYED OIL IN THERE AND THATS A NONO, NOW YOU HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN AND TRY AND FREE UP THE PINS AND SE IT THEY WILL WORK FREE AGAIN, YOUR SUPPOSED TO USE DRY GRAPHITE TO LUBE A KEY HOLE BUT MOST PEOPLE DONT, BIKE KEYS FACE UP AND GET MOISTURE AND WATER IN THE AND DO THIS, WD40 IT AND JIGGLE IT AROUND SEE WHAT HAPPENS OR IT MAY JUST BE WORN OUT,
